Durability:
From the fiber selection and yarn construction to backing system and proprietary finish treatments, Milliken carpets are engineered to perform in the most demanding traffic conditions.  Milliken modular carpet features the Comfort Plus® integrated cushion that acts as a shock-absorber to protect the carpet against the effects of wear even in the most rigorous circumstances.

Flexibility:
Milliken modular is a highly engineered carpet that, dollar for dollar, outperforms broadloom.  Life-cycle costing shows that modular carpet is the best long-term value for maintainability, durability and appearance retention.

Ergonomics:
Milliken’s Comfort Plus® polyurethane cushion backing enhances underfoot comfort.  In a test by Dow Chemical and Milliken, Comfort Plus cushion reduced leg fatigue by 24 percent over hard-backed carpets.

Long-Term Appearance Retention:
Nearly all Milliken modular carpets are rated for ‘severe’ wear under the Carpet & Rug Institute’s Appearance Retention Rating (ARR) system, the highest performance standard available.

Sustainability:
Milliken is the only manufacturer to offer a renewal program for carpet.  Earth Square® super-cleans, re-textures and restyles used carpet for another lifetime of use.  Our PVC-free modular carpets also can be specified with ES (Engineered for Sustainability) cushion backing with up to 35 percent recycled content.  Milliken modular with ES backing contributes the maximum allowable points for carpet in LEED™ NC, CI and EB.  No other carpet contributes more.  TractionBack® eliminates the need for adhesives and so improves indoor air quality.

Improved Acoustics:
Studies show that carpet absorbs airborne sound and reduces surface or “footfall” noises. Studies completed by the Carpet & Rug Institute indicate that acoustical properties of carpet are enhanced by cushion. In lab tests, polyurethane cushion like that used by Milliken was especially effective in absorbing noise.
