What would you do if your company took away desks and installed open meeting spaces instead?

We recently ran across an article by The Wall Street Journal that claims workspace designs are becoming more open and collaborative. Instead of opting for just the traditional desk space, many organizations are introducing common areas and flexible office space. Some companies are even removing desks all together, or even implementing a work-from-home policy.

This trend is turning entire offices into workspaces where employees can interact with other colleagues and business partners, and also have the privacy they need to get work done. We love this idea. In fact, we have implemented it in our own office space. These are a few pictures of our Athenaeum at the Roger Milliken Campus in Spartanburg, SC.
