With more than 100 years of environmental stewardship, sustainability is core to Milliken's culture. Since developing the first PVC-free carpet tile in the industry, we have continued to drive sustainable practices forward in carpet and textile manufacturing.
Milliken desires to develop products and practices that make lives better and 'do good' for the world. To live out this mantra, we now have Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) available for all Milliken standard modular carpet tile offerings.
The EPDs serve as a validation tool that offers manufacturers a standard approach for assessing the environmental impact of their products and provides buyers with an effective framework for making direct product comparisons. Additionally, this allows all Milliken standard tile products to contribute to an additional point for LEED version 4, a more strenuous LEED qualification released this past year.
EPD files and transparency summaries for Milliken modular floor covering collections can be found online on the UL website, a third-party verification company which specializes in sustainability.
