Learning environments that feel like cold institutions do little to encourage and motivate students – and can often stifle a student’s natural creativity and passion.
To offer college-preparatory education in the Pittsburgh area, The Neighborhood Academy constructed two new academic buildings that span 150,000 square feet. These new facilities allow the school to continue its mission of breaking the cycle of generational poverty by preparing youth – who would not otherwise have the financial resources – for higher education.
And while it was important to offer adequate classroom settings, they also wanted to invite students in with a warm, nurturing and vibrant atmosphere.
